Nancy Newman

Workshop Fee: $75.00
Location: Barry Coombs Studio, 224-15 Adrian Avenue,
Toronto
Not to be
Negative, but….
Artists search for ways to give their work the “Wow”
factor. We want viewers to take that extra moment to look at what we have
created. One way to achieve this is to paint in the negative. Use the space in
and around an object to enhance the illusion of depth and increase the range of
values in your painting.
If you would like to explore this exciting process of
negative painting, this workshop is for you. Through a step-by-step
demonstration, you will create a beautiful fall forest painted in the negative.
This is an enjoyable and effective exercise that will allow you to incorporate
negative painting into your own work….Painting negatively can be a very
positive experience!
